Man airlifted after fall
A Ruatahuna man was airlifted to Rotorua Hospital with suspected spinal injuries after a fall this afternoon.
The Rotorua-based BayTrust Rescue Helicopter was despatched to the remote township of Ruatahuna about 6pm.
An ambulance from Murupara also responded and transported the man from his home to a nearby paddock where they met the rescue chopper.
Once stabilised the 64-year-old was airlifted to hospital in a comfortable condition.
