Club set for race meeting | Rotorua Sport | Surfing, Rugby, Soccer, Football, Cricket in Rotorua

Lake City Athletic Club holds its annual cross country championships this Saturday.

The club is running the championships at Bishop's Farm, 206 State Highway 30, which is approximately 2km from the Whakatane turnoff.

The first race is over 4000m for youth grades and women and will start at 1.30pm. At 2.05pm boys and girls grades and all walkers will compete over 2500m.

The final event at 2.25pm will be for senior men over 8000m and masters and junior men over 6000m.

All are welcome to participate but only financial members of the Lake City Athletic Club can win a championship title.

A rustic afternoon tea will be at the farm woolshed and club members are asked to bring a plate.
