A 13-year-old Waihi College student was hit by an unloaded logging truck at the Waihi roundabout about 8.35am today.

She was attended by several medical professionals from the nearby Waihi Health Centre and off duty St John personnel before taken to Waikato Hospital by St John Ambulance.

She has moderate injuries.
