Former All Black sentenced for assault

Former All Black Keith Robinson has been sentenced to 300 hours community work and nine months supervision after he admitted bashing a man outside a pub.

Robinson, 36, was sentenced in Rotorua District Court today after previously pleading guilty to a charge of injuring with intent to injure.

The assault happened on December 9 last year outside the Palace Hotel in Te Aroha. The 1.97m, 116kg Robinson had that day been part of a group of about 50 men on a "man-cave" tour of several properties around the town.

Robinson was also ordered to pay $1000 reparation to the victim.
