Santa Claus cruised through summery Rotorua streets on his sleigh on Saturday, with the help of his friendly chief elf before heading back to the much colder North Pole.

Santa and his friends were part of the Classic Hits Harvey Norman Santa Parade which brought most of the inner city to a standstill to celebrate the start of the festive season. Check out today's Daily Post for our special picture feature.
