Roadworks along Lake Rd are continuing with traffic lights at the Ranolf St intersection being removed.

The intersection is now being controlled with temporary traffic management as a T-intersection until new traffic lights are installed.

There are also a couple of new bumps along the road where new pavement levels are different from the old levels.

These have been marked as speed humps to warn motorists but are only a temporary construction marking as the new route won't have any speed humps.

The road will be finished in April or May and work is tracking on schedule, says Rotorua District Council roading engineer Elizabeth Wood.
