Looking for something to do this long weekend? Rotorua has events running throughout the city, from music festivals to stockcar racing.

They begin tonight with the Okere Falls Festival. Music lovers can head down to the Okere Falls Store for the first night of the three-day live music festival with acts such as Maisey Rika, Tim Finn and local band Swamp Thing.

Tickets are $50 for today, $60 tomorrow and $40 on Sunday and can be bought at the Okere Falls Store, at the Library Store (the cafe in the Rotorua District Library) on Haupapa St or by calling 022 183 5598. Artists kick off at 5pm.

Paradise Valley Raceway will be hosting the stockcar World 240s tonight and tomorrow night. Gates open on both nights at 5pm with racing starting at 7pm. Tonight's tickets cost $25 per adult, $10 for youths and Gold Card holders and $50 for a family pass.

Prices tomorrow are $30 per adult, $10 youths and Gold Card holders and $65 for a family pass. Under-5s are free on both nights.

Tomorrow brings with it the first day of the Agriculture and Pastoral Show, held at Riverdale Park in Ngongotaha. Running from 8.30am to 5pm tomorrow and Sunday, entry is $10 per adult and under 16s are free.

Sunday offers Rhythm Rotorua and Art in the Garden.

Rhythm Rotorua will be at the Rotorua Arts Village (RAVE) on the corner of Hinemoa and Hinemaru streets between 12.30pm and 8pm. Tickets are available from RAVE, the Belgian Bar, Seismic Gastrobar, Ticketmaster and the New Zealand Credit Union at $25.
