Man dies in forestry accident near Taneatua
A man has died in a forestry accident near Taneatua.
A police spokeswoman said emergency services were called to an area in Sisam Valley Rd near Taneatua about 4.25pm today.
A man had died in what was believed to be a forestry accident and police are still at the scene.
Rotorua-based BayTrust Rescue Helicopter pilot Barry Vincent said they were called but when they arrived they were told the man's injuries were fatal and they were no longer needed.
