After a variety of humorous challenges, the search for Mr Rotorua will come to an end at the grand finale this weekend.

The ultimate-man styled competition created by Classic Hits and Distinction Hotel will feature the five finalists showcasing their talent in song, dance and a stand-up comedy stint at the Distinction Hotel on Sunday.

The grand finale will be hosted by Lotto presenter Russell Harrison, of Rotorua, who will sing a few numbers.

Spot prizes and drinks and nibbles will be included at the event.

Finalists will have one last opportunity to battle it out for the Mr Rotorua title and a chance to win a weekend for two at Distinction Hotel Rotorua, two VIP passes to Agroventures, dirt-bike tours with Pure Dirt Tours, gondola and luge rides at Skyline Rotorua and a Waiora Lakeside Spa massage.

Breakfast co-host and Mr Rotorua organiser Chloe Emirali said the evening would provide great entertainment and be well worth it.

"The guys are hard-case and I'm sure there will be plenty of laughter on the night," she said.

The finalists were required to carry out tasks last week which included hitting the streets in women's clothing while raising money for the New Zealand Prostate Cancer Foundation.

They also had to make an omelette, which was judged by a professional chef, build a wheelbarrow, tackle an obstacle course and try to make students at Lynmore Primary laugh.

Tickets for the event are available for $20 at Distinction Hotel.

Online voting will be open until tomorrow noon at www.classichits.co.nz
