Mountainbiker airlifted to hospital
A mountainbiker had to be airlifted to hospital after injuring herself on a track near Taupo.
The Taupo-based Greenlea rescue Helicopter took the 20-year-old Auckland woman to Taupo Hospital after the incident this afternoon.
Pilot Nat Every said the woman had to be winched into the helicopter because there was no landing sites near by.
The woman's injuries are unknown.
