New appointment at Kaupapa Maori Unit | Rotorua News | Local News in Rotorua

Karla Kereopa (Te Arawa, Kahungunu, Tainui) has been appointed as the new policy analyst/research officer in the Kaupapa Maori Unit at the Rotorua District Council.

Ms Kereopa qualified with a law degree from Waikato University and was admitted to the Bar in 2009.

She has worked as a court registrar at the Rotorua District Court and also as a solicitor at Aurere law.

Ms Kereopa has extensive research skills and extensive knowledge relating to commercial law, Maori land law, and post-settlement governance.
