ELIMINATED: Rotorua's Jamie Himiona was eliminated from New Zealand's Next Top Model last Friday.

Jamie Himiona is no longer in the running to be New Zealand's Next Top Model.

The Rotorua 19-year-old was eliminated from the reality show last night. She was the second aspiring model to leave the top model house so far in the series.

Jamie, who is studying a Diploma in Fashion Technology at Waiariki Institute of Technology, was in the bottom two with Dakota Biddle.

Despite being eliminated, Jamie said she had had an "amazing" time and made some great friends.

"I loved it, it's so amazing just being included in something like that."

In last night's show, Jamie and the other top model hopefuls including Rotorua's Amelia Gough and Kawerau's Danielle Hayes, had to take part in a movement dance lesson, performing different dance styles from around the world.

The girls also went on a road trip to Rotorua where they had to use what they had learned in the dance lesson to pose for photographs in a Zorb while being rolled around. The challenge was won by Wellington's Courtenay Scott-Hill.

The photo shoot for the episode was done in a mud pool in Rotorua.

Jamie was in the bottom two last week and said she lost confidence after that.

"I think I could've done a lot better," she said. "I think [the judges] all knew that I wasn't as into it."

Jamie didn't think she would be selected for the show.

"My friend was auditioning over in Napier and I decided to go with her. I walked in there expecting them to say no."

Jamie said she didn't know who would win the model search but believed Danielle and Dakota both had what it would take. She hoped Dakota won because of their strong friendship.

Jamie said she wasn't certain what the future held for her but she still intended to work in the fashion industry.
