Actor Stephen Fry has stirred up a social media storm by tweeting about New Zealand's poor broadband internet access.

Two companies are currently rolling out ultra-fast broadband fibre networks in the region, but Get Fibre sales and marketing manager Rod Meharry says many business owners are not aware of the potential benefits it could bring.
