Phone lines down in Taupo
Emergency services are currently at a road in Taupo where phones lines have come down and are on the road.
A Fire Service communications spokesman told The Daily Post the fire service had been called to Norman Smith St in Taupo because suspected power lines had come down.
He said the lines were phone lines and the fire service was not needed.
He said all lines needed to be treated as live and people should not touch any kind of phone or power line which came down on to the road.
