Police: Wanted man may be armed and in Rotorua
An armed man who is known for being a drug user and is wanted for a serious assault on his partner, could be in Rotorua.
Members of the public are being asked to report any sightings of 31-year-old Daniel Minogue who was last seen in Nelson on October 5 but has links to the Bay of Plenty - particularly Rotorua, Taupo and Turangi.
Police say Minogue is a known drug user and is believed to have a firearm in his possession. He should not be approached.
Minogue, who is described as Maori, about 176cm tall and has dark hair, drives a distinctive black BMW but may have access to other vehicles, including a grey two-door Nissan Pulsar.
He could also be travelling with a male associate.
Any sightings of Minogue should be reported immediately to police. Anyone who has any knowledge of Minogue's whereabouts is also asked to contact their nearest police station.
