Rocky ride through town
A woman has had a close encounter with a centre island rock after misjudging an intersection in Rotorua. The mishap happened at the intersection of Fenton St and Pukuatua St about 5pm on Monday.
The sole occupant escaped uninjured but her Toyota Corolla had to be lifted and towed away as it was unable to be driven with a buckled front right wheel and minor body damage.
The rock had been jolted out of the ground due to the force of the impact.
