Police are following up some potential sightings of missing Rotorua woman Michelle Hoffman-Tamm, but remain concerned about what happened to her.

Ms Hoffman-Tamm, 51, was last seen almost two weeks ago near her home on Phillip St, where she left on bike to visit friends.

Senior Sergeant Zane Smith told The Daily Post yesterday that police have had some potential sightings at different locations in Rotorua reported to them that were being followed up.

"We will be looking at searching some areas where she may have gone just based on her routine, general places, local parks that are used as shortcuts," Mr Smith said.

He said police still wanted to hear from anyone who had any information or who had seen Ms Hoffman-Tamm.

Mr Smith they were concerned, given the length of time she had now been missing.

Ms Hoffman-Tamm had spent the afternoon of Wednesday, November 7 with a family member, had briefly returned home then set off on her bike after telling her partner she was going to visit friends.

She never arrived at her friends' house and has made no contact with friends or family, which police said was highly unusual.

Ms Hoffman-Tamm is described as European with short dark hair, about 1.5m tall and of medium build.

Mr Smith said family members of Ms Hoffman-Tamm had been distributing fliers in an effort to find her.
