Swap cans for movie tickets
Rotorua's Reading Cinemas is taking part in this year's Wattie's Cans Film Festival on Wednesday.
Moviegoers will be able to swap a can of food for a movie ticket. Tickets are available now and all cans go to the Salvation Army to help stock food banks.
The movies which will screen include Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days, Ice Age 4: Continental Drift, Brave, The Amazing Spider-Man and Hotel Transylvania.
The movies start screening between 5.30pm and 6.15pm.Wattie's will match the number of cans donated. Last year the festival distributed 45,380 cans nationally.
