Nominations for the Te Arawa Maori Sports and Rangatahi Achievement Awards, which will be held at Rotorua's Heritage Hotel on October 22, are now open. General manager Paora Te Hurihanganui encourages anyone interested in nominating someone or being nominated, to do so before August 31. New this year is the Te Arawa "Hall of Fame" where Te Arawa descendants who have dedicated their lives to the pursuit of excellence will be honoured. Tickets will be available early October.
