The Daily Post in line for further honours

The Daily Post has again been recognised for excellence in newspaper publishing, having been named a finalist for 2010 Newspaper of the Year in Asia and the Pacific.

The Post, which is a finalist in the 10,000-25,000 circulation category, was recently a finalist for Best Newspaper at the 2010 Qantas Media Awards, an award we won last year, and is this year's APN Regional Newspapers Newspaper of the Year.

The Panpa awards are the most prestigious in the region, attracting entries from as far afield as Taiwan and Hong Kong.

APN's New Zealand finalists also include the Bay of Plenty Times, Hawke's Bay Today and Wanganui Chronicle in the Newspaper of the Year (10,000-25,000 circulation) category, the Northland Age in the Newspaper of the Year (0-10,000) category, The New Zealand Herald in the Newspaper of the Year (90,000+) daily category, The Aucklander in the Newspaper of the Year (90,000+) non-daily category, nzherald.co.nz in the website category, and the Herald On Sunday in the Best Sunday Newspaper
category.

The winners will be announced at a gala dinner on August 26 in Sydney.
