Traffic on State Highway 2 near Whakamarama is now flowing after a minor truck crash blocked one lane bringing traffic to a standstill.

Western Bay of Plenty road policing manager Senior Sergeant Ian Campion said there was a minor nose-to-tail crash involving two trucks near the Te Puna stream about 10am today.

Traffic was banked up between Barrett Rd and Te Karaka Drive for some time.

Police have moved the trucks to the side of the road to allow traffic to flow more easily and are being removed from the scene.
