Northland's Sam Warriner will continue her triathlon comeback tomorrow as part of the Contact Tri Series in Rotorua.

The former world No1, Warriner is returning to the sport after taking time out to start a family and will be racing as part of a sprint distance team.

Her presence will be a boost to the event, with the Northlander something of a pied piper to other contestants as young and old seek her out for advice.

Whether they're kids lining up in the Contact 1:2:1 individual event for those aged 7-11, or athletes she coaches through her Sweat7 programme, many are sure to ask her advice on how to approach their day.

The event is the first in the seven-race Contact Tri Series, with racing combined for the first time with the popular Rotorua Half Ironman in and around Lake Tikitapu.
