Volunteers out for Heart Foundation street appeal

The Heart Foundation is holding its annual appeal, and to help do their bit, local volunteers are hitting Rotorua streets tomorrow for the charity's street collection.

All funds raised on the day will be spent locally, and will be used to continue work with ongoing education to improve people's lifestyles and with rehabilitation programmes to help people recover and improve their lives after a heart event.

Rotorua MP Todd McClay is one of the many getting on board to help drive local donations and is encouraging locals to dig deep.

People can also donate at their local Postshop Kiwibank or by calling 0800 830 100, going online at www.heartfoundation.org.nz or by texting the word "Donate'' to 933 to make a $3 donation.
